AcuDetox also known as Ear Acupuncture or 5NP-Five Needle Protocol is a treatment that involves stimulating 5 points on the outer ear using needles or ear seeds. Each point is associated with an organ or system of the body, by stimulating these points the body is supported physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically. This treatment has historically been used to help alleviate symptoms of detox and withdrawal from opiates and addictive substances, though its benefits are more widely applicable and beneficial.

AcuDetox is a grassroots movement. This Chinese Medicine was brought to the west by the Black Panther Party and Young Lords in the 1970’s as a way to help their communities suffering from the opioid epidemic. Practicing this medicine means carrying the message of liberation for all, ‘The People’s Detox’. To learn more about this movement you can watch the documentary Dope is Death.

Receiving AcuDetox in a private session is also available or can be added on to another service. The needles stay in the ears for 20-45 minutes. Ear seeds are also an option.
